 The theme this year is the 100th anniversary of the publication of The Twilight of the Sioux. This Bison Books was a combined volume of both “The Song of the Indian Wars” and “The Song of the Messiah” from A Cycle of the West, which encompasses the Indian wars (1854-1890) and the massacre at Wounded Knee (1890).
